Tax Evasion: Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Pleads Guilty And Faces 15years in Jail
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino pleaded guilty in his tax evasion case and faces a maximum sentence of 15years in jail, TMZ reports.
The Jersey shores star’s brother, Marc Sorrentino, who worked with him and also faced tax charges, also pled guilty and faces up to 25 years behind bars. The two pleaded guilty at a New Jersey court on Friday.
The Situation and his brother, Marc, pleaded not guilty last year, after being indicted for tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records. This came after a 2014 indictment for other tax offenses, in which federal prosecutors accused them of failing to pay taxes on $8.9 million in earnings.
The brothers will be sentenced April 25th and it’s unclear what kind of sentence he’s staring down. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is said to have filed documents informing the judge it had struck plea agreements with Mike and his brother.
The Situation, who went to court with his girl Lauren Pesce by his side, got approval from the judge, on his request, to travel to Florida to shoot a “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” reunion while under probation.
I guess its not all bad news for the star!
