The year 2017 has been an eventful one with lots of Rap’s biggest names dropping hits for their fans.
Reflecting on music that was put out this year, Joe Budden and Charlamange Tha God rounded up lists of the dopest and most trash artists of 2017 for Revolt Tv, including the top 5 albums, lyricists, and more.
The controversial critics who are known for ruffling feathers and getting into beefs with lots of artists due to their bluntness went all in and spared nobody’s feelings in their judgement.
They disagreed on some names but both referred to Nicki Minaj’s year as “fucking trash”.
The full trash list comprises of rappers, Lil Yachty, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, and Frank Ocean., making it clear they hold nothing against Nicki Minaj.
“Nicki has to go on the trash list. She is high on the trash list,” Budden declared. “She has exhibited a lot of f**king trash this year, and I’m not talking about music.”
“I can’t remember the last time I saw a superstar of Nicki’s caliber put out three records at the same time, and by the way that ‘No Fraids’ record had the iHeartRadio stimulus package that you going to play every hour on the hour on every urban station throughout the country, she had Wayne and Drake on the record and that record didn’t grow bro,” Charlamagne said. “She had another record with Wayne and that didn’t go anywhere and she had a third record and I don’t even know what happened to that sh*t.”
“Nicki Minaj is a superstar and you cannot have 90 followers and put out three records and non of them catch [on],” Joe Budden said.
The former Everyday Struggle co-host offered a message to the ‘No Frauds’ rapper,
“Nicki, I know you’re watching this. You watch everything. I know you’re a little sensitive and I know you think I have an issue with you,” he said directly into the camera. “I don’t have an issue with Nicki Minaj, except for you cannot post your accolades on Instagram every day for the year. I’m going to call you trash if you have to consistently tell us… Nicki Minaj is a superstar. You cannot have 90 million Instagram followers and put out three records and none of them catch. I don’t give a f**k about your accolades.”
The Breakfast Club host then explains why Lil Yachty is the poster child for trash artists of 2017.
